New Asian Gothic is not fixed. It is not owned.
What matters is not that the term is used, but that the approach continues. Stories that treat culture as force. Horror that respects consequence. Characters who carry memory forward instead of discarding it.
My own work continues through the Valencia Horror Universe, where these ideas are tested across multiple books and forms. But I expect other writers to arrive at similar conclusions through different paths.
If New Asian Gothic has a future, it will be because writers choose depth over spectacle and continuity over novelty.
That choice is always available.
